Lakes, Dales & Passes….
I spent the past two days on a 625 mile exploration of some of the finest National Parks in the UK.
The weather was great, the scenery awesome and the roads fabulous if not a little challenging in a few places.
It’s really difficult to put into words the sheer beauty of these areas and even photographs can’t begin to do justice to the awe-inspiring views & scenery.
Decent visibility on both days enabled me to try and capture the essence with a few photographs but I think the only way to fully appreciate these areas is to visit & simply absorb all that is going on around you.
Highlights of this trip included:
Lake District National Park :: Honsiter Pass
Whinlatter Pass :: Hard Knott Pass
Wrynose Pass :: Yorkshire Dales National Park
North York Moors National Park :: Northumberland National Park
My overnight stay was at The Golden Lion in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.
